Roles for Regional Partners

Regional Collaborative Service Delivery activities are supported through the coordination of services from participating partners, including:

  • School authorities
  • Alberta Health Services (Children’s Rehabilitation Services, Community Addiction and Mental Health)
  • Children’s Services
  • Community Supports and Services (including Family Support for Children with Disabilities, and Disability Services)
  • First Nations (Ermineskin, Louis Bull, Montana, Samson, Sunchild)
  • other local and regional service providers

Each region will determine the supports and services for children, youth and their families. Regions will consider the following:

  • what services are currently available to children, youth, and their families;
  • regional priorities informed by data gathered at the local level by Regional Leadership and Regional Executive Teams;
  • gaps identified in services to support children, youth, and their families
  • how specific supports and services are coordinated, integrated, and collaboratively delivered; and
  • how regions are working together to support children, youth and their families transitioning across the province and between regions.

Each region will measure and report annually on the following four key areas of focus:

  • Identifying System Needs
  • Coordinating and Leveraging Systems
  • Building System Capacities
  • Planning for Sustainability
